Orenburgneft (an enterprise of Rosneft’s oil production complex) introduced a domestic innovative technology to increase operational efficiency of the pipeline system in the fields.
The new technology is based on the use of a unique device for swirling the fluid flow. The development of Russian engineers changes the structure of the extracted hydrocarbon flow, due to which mechanical impurities and sediments are washed out of the pipeline. Paraffin deposits sedimentation on the pipe walls is prevented, which increases pipeline throughput capacity, as well as environmental and industrial safety of production.
Application of the new technology increases the inter-cleaning period of pipelines on average by one and a half times and contributes to improving the efficiency of pipeline fleet operation at the fields. In addition, the implementation of the project ensures an annual reduction in operating costs for mechanical pipe cleaning.
Accident-free operation of production facilities is one of the priorities of the Rosneft-2030 strategy and a key objective for the Company in all areas of operation. To achieve the best performance in environmental protection, the Company improves approaches to environmental management, increases the scale of environmental measures and the necessary investments for these purposes.
